The Decision on the establishment of the public institution, "Sports and Recreation Centre" Tešanj was brought at the 20th session of the Municipal Council No: 01-02-1-1983/06 of 29 June 2006. The Public institution the "SRC" Tešanj has the capacity of a legal entity. The main activity of the Public institution the "SRC" Tešanj is organizing sports events, organizing cultural and entertainment activities, organization of training processes for the clubs, offering services and renting business and sports facilities and equipment, advertisements and promotion, provision of the service/catering activities.
BACKGROUND:
The summary of the most important events in the history of the institution:
•     The Decision on construction of the sports hall (18 February 2004). The Decision on the

establishment of the public institution the "SRC" Tešanj (June 2006),
•     The official start of work of the hall and its opening (3 September 2006),
•     The Decision on the interim appointment of the President and members of the

Governing Board (15 September 2006),
•     The Certificate on the tax registration (8 September 2006),
•     The Certificate on registration of the payer of the value added tax (21 November 2006),
•     The Decision on appointment of the new Governing Board (16 May 2007).
Some significant events that are organized from the moment of commissioning the Hall:
•     The XIII Balkan Championship in kick boxing (1 and 2 September 2007),
•     The New Year's tournament in indoor football ("TEŠANJ 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009"),
•     The International competition "Body fit Tešanj for 2009",
•     The International kickboxing cup TEŠANJ OPEN 2009,
•     The VIII International Festival of Folklore "TEŠANJ 2009",
•     The exhibition of small animals (January 2009, and 2010),
•     The meeting of Ramadan - the traditional concerts (2006, 2007 and 2008),
•      The Winter traditional tournament veterans "Tošk" in a small football,
•      The semi-finals and finals of the national championship in the basketball for the Cadets,
•      The II International Memorial Handball Tournament "Fuad Prnjavorac-Fudo".
And many other successful manifestions and concerts that are not always traditional in character but also occur sporadically.

The Public Institution Museum Tešanj was established pursuant to the Decision on the Establishment of the Museum of the

Municipal Council Tešanj at its 9th regular sesssion held on 30 July 2009 and under No: 01-02-1-3073/09. By the same

Decision the Municipal Council, according to Article 5, has defined the core business of the Museum:
•    collection, preservation and study of the cultural and natural resources, their professional and scientific treatment;
•    keeping, protection and presentation of the museum stuff, the museum documents, museum localities and discoveries,
•    their direct and indirect presentation to the public through the permanent and temporary exhibitions;
•    disclosure of the data and information on the Museum holdings and Museum documentation through the professional
and scientific magazines and the other mass media.
Subsequently, the Municipal Council Tešanj has on 1 October 2010 adopted the Decision on Amending the Decision on
Establishment the Museum, No: 01-02-13073-2/09 by which was amended Article 5 of the Decision on the Establishment

of the Museum and which reads: "the Code of the activity of the Museum shall be 92251”.

The Public Institution of the Museum Tešanj was registered by the Decision on Registration and Enrollment in the Register

of the Public Institution Museum of Tešanj of 16 October 2009. Shortly afterwards on 29 October 2009 the Museum

has also received the notification on the classification of a legal entity according to the activity, as well as the Certificate of

Tax Registration. By this it was formally completed the registration procedure of the Museum Tešanj as a legal entity with the

Municipal Court in Zenica.
In the previous period the general acts of the Museum were prepared such as: the Rules of the Public Institution Museum

Tešanj, Regulations on Operation of the Museum and Regulations on Internal Organization and Systematization of the

Jobs of the Museum Tešanj and it was also nominated the Director of the Institution, as well as deliverd requests to the

Canton and Municipality for the resources.
